Herb Alpert is the legendary trumpet player with five No. 1 hits, 15 gold albums, and 14 platinum albums. Herb and the Tijuana Brass at one time had four albums in the Top 10 simultaneously, and five in the Top 20, a feat never duplicated.

Grammy Award-winning vocalist Lani Hall started her singing career in 1966 as the lead singer of Sergio Mendes's break through group, Brasil '66. Married to Herb since 1973, Lani co-produced Alpert's Steppin’ Out and has the distinction of recording 22 albums in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
