Journey of Hope: Real Life Stories of Living with Mental Health Challenges Portrayed Through Art

Presented by Sacramento County Public Health at Elk Grove Fine Arts Center

In recognition of Mental Illness Awareness Week, Sacramento County’s “Mental Illness: It’s not always what you think” Project and the Elk Grove Fine Arts Center present Journey of Hope, a collaborative art exhibit that pairs local artists and writers to share stories about mental health, hope and recovery. Each piece began with a story written by a Sacramento County resident living with mental illness, which was then given to a local artist to be used as inspiration for an original art piece.
