My Sister’s House, a non-profit organization addressing the culturally unique needs of Asian-Pacific Islander women and other undeserved women and children impacted by domestic violence and human trafficking in the Central Valley, is hosting its 15th annual 5k run or walk at William Land Park. Proceeds raised from the event will help My Sister’s House in its efforts to putting a stop to domestic violence and providing shelter to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.
The annual Run for a Safe Haven has been a primary fundraiser for My Sister’s House since 2003 and expects to draw in more than 1,100 runners and walkers. Last year, participants in attendance raised over $60,000 for My Sister’s House services and programs.
