Oil pastels are a drawing medium similar to crayons or chalk, but with more painterly results. Learn composition and design principles as you create a still life arrangement and experiment with oil pastels to achieve different effects.

Instructor Laura Schofield was an instructor at Academic Talent Search (ATS) through CSUS for 15 years where she instructed grades 4-9 students in color theory, beginning cartooning, animation, stop-motion and Anime/Manga. She currently teaches oil and chalk pastels, colored pencil, charcoal, and pen and ink at University Art.
