The famed musicians of TriMusica -- clarinetist Sandra McPherson, cellist Susan Lamb Cook, and pianist John Cozza -- return to the Crocker to present an afternoon of sound inspired by the Crocker’s collection of European art. Included in the program will be Beethoven’s Piano Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 11, which was composed especially for this appealing trio of instruments that were newly popular in chamber music at the turn of the 18th century. Evoking the idyllic social gatherings and salon parties depicted in the Crocker’s European painting collection, the program will unfold like a musical soirée as the members of TriMusica perform an array of works, including their own arrangement of Schumann’s Fantasy Pieces.
