The graffiti-inspired style of Carlos Ramirez inspires and provokes with an activist edge. Formerly part of The Date Farmers, a collective of artists whose work will be on view as part of the exhibition Arte Extraordinario: Recent Acquisitions, Ramirez will be featured in conversation with art historian Kevin Muller to share what drives his art, his evolving style, and how growing up as the son of farm workers in Coachella, California, impacted him as an artist.
An expert in American art with a particular interest in contemporary Latinx art, Kevin Muller has taught and lectured extensively throughout Northern California.
