Make five books in three hours! Whether you are a first time bookmaker or have years of practice, you are bound to feel accomplished after this workshop!

With bookmaker and creative writer, Nikki Thompson of Deconstructed Artichoke Press, starts out making books out of a sheet of paper. Then move to a simple pamphlet sewn together with a figure-eight stitch, followed by two signatures (a group of about 16 pages) sewn as one with a surprise sewn in the middle. The class will finish out with an elaborate sewing of a pamphlet with link stitches along the spine.

You will need a bone folder, awl, needle, X-acto knife, ruler, cutting mat, scissors, and pencil (if you do not already have these the instructor will have them available for you to borrow).
