Jimi Michiel is a Sacramento-based musicologist and trumpet player. He has performed with a wide variety of ensembles around the country, including the New York String Orchestra, Hot Springs Festival Orchestra and the Brandeis New Music Ensemble. As a writer, he has written program notes for the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, and chamber concerts including members of most major American orchestras (Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, etc).
