Betty Reid Soskin's book, Sign My Name to Freedom, blends selections from many of her hundreds of blog entries with interviews, letters, and speeches collected throughout her long life. The book invites readers into an American life through the words and thoughts of a national treasure who has never stopped looking at herself, the nation, or the world with fresh eyes.

Presented during Women’s History Month, Soskin reflects on the oft-overlooked African American wartime experience and how opportunities for Black women have changed throughout her lifetime.
