On the 2nd Saturday of each month, DOCO hosts an event for families with children. These art activities are specially-designed by Verge Center for the Arts to stimulate creativity while providing a fun weekend activity for families.

Two Sac Open Studio artists will demonstrate their technique and lead a hands-on activity for kids.
-September 14: Sac Open Studios Launch: Kids Open Studios
An artist’s studio where kids and their families can explore, play, and create their own works of art.
-October 12: Halloween: Halloween Decorations
Create outdoor Halloween decorations from our treasure trove of creepy crawly art supplies.
-November 9: Native American Heritage Month: Textiles Coloring Books
Learn about Native American designs adapted from textile patterns, wood carvings, ceramics, and other traditional craft forms.
-December 14: Holidays: DIY Wrapping Paper
After shopping, stop by and make your own unique wrapping paper. Choose from stencils, paint, markers, washi tape, and more.
Note: DOCO has four garages onsite, each conveniently located. They suggest parking at the DOCO Central Garage (414 J Street) for 2nd Saturday activations. The festivities occur on the West end of the Plaza (near Yard House).
