Paint-a-Palooza is an art making extravaganza that encourages students to experiment with a variety of painting techniques, including dry brushing, underpainting, and stippling on diverse surfaces using watercolor, acrylics, gouache, and ink to produce a variety of art genres.
About the instructor:
Erin Juneau has a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in K-12 art education. Her reverence for nature and love of the outdoors has brought her to Sacramento, which inspire her choice of subjects. Erin’s influences come from her interest in thrown pottery, observational drawing, knitting, and mixed-media. She works in her studio to create thrown ceramics while she applies the strengths of her medium to achieve rich matte surfaces and vibrant organic forms.
