Presented by California State Railroad Museum Foundation at Old Sacramento Waterfront

The California State Railroad Museum and Foundation are proud to present a series of exciting events, activities and exhibits to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad.

To gain a better understanding and experience the commemorative events (as closely as possible) to those that took place 150 years prior, the California State Railroad Museum and Foundation invite the community-at-large to visit the Old Sacramento Waterfront for a free outdoor Sesquicentennial.

Sesquicentennial Day Schedule:
-9:45am-10:15am: Procession
-10:15am-10:45am: Bronze Plaque Unveiling
-11am-2pm: Community Picnic and Entertainment
-11am-4pm: Complimentary Excursion Train Rides
-1pm: “The Quest for the Gold Spike” Performance
-3pm-8pm: Happy Hour Specials along the Old Sacramento Waterfront
