Save-eARTh: Art Gallery and Reception

Save-eARTh: Art Gallery and Reception

Presented by CSU Sacramento (Sacramento State) at Sacramento State - University Union Gallery

Earth Day 2019 is coming and so is this new exhibit from visual artist Angela Gonzalez. The show features sixteen artworks created using eWaste and designed to forge the connection between art, technology and sustainability.

Angela Gonzalez will be creating a greener tomorrow in the upcoming art exhibition, Save/[eARTh]. This will be the last Gallery exhibit of the semester.

Gonzalez is originally from Colombia, South America. She decided to become an artist after attending college and majoring in design. She believes that art allows her to communicate with the barriers of culture, age or language. Her art has been featured at many venues, including the New York Hall of Science Museum, The Coral Springs Museum of Art, and the SMUD Gallery. In hopes of leading a greener tomorrow, her objective in this exhibit is to engage audiences in a conversation about ecological and social responsibilities. For the exhibit, she will be displaying 16 art pieces related to climate change and its impact on earth by using recycled technology materials, including computer chips, hard drives and more.

The reception for Save/[eARTh] welcomes the general public to meet the artist and enjoy appetizers provided at the event.
