Woodland native and longtime Sacramento resident, Sharon Norton loves taking pictures of daily life when inspiration hits. Most often that is in the form of flowers when the sun catches them just right, she later uses those pictures for reference when painting. Beginning in acrylics and oil in her college years, then followed by years of working in watercolor, she now enjoys painting with all three mediums on canvas, paper, and wood panel.
Kristi Warren grew up in the Bay Area and attended art school at what is now known as California College of the Arts. She originally set her sights on graphic design and illustration which landed her at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Eventually she ended up in Sacramento where she completed her studies and earned a degree in graphic design from Sacramento State. She say’s she almost immediately realized that paper and canvas were where her heart lived and abandoned the keyboard for the brush. Kristi often juxtaposes hard angles and shapes with her floral images and says she does this as a way of representing the world we live in.
