The Locke Asian Pacific Spring festival is held in the heart of the Sacramento Delta in the wild west town of Locke California which was known for its illegal gambling halls, opium dens and brothels. It is the only town remaining in America that was inhabited only by the Chinese, a National Historic Landmark. Along with the events of the day, there are historic and educational museums such as the Dai Loy Gambling House, the Boarding House Museum, the Joe Soong one room Chinese School House that one can peruse in addition to the festival itself.
