Cinco De Mayo Festival

Presented by Life Entertainment Presents at Southside Park

Fiesta En La Calle’s Cinco De Mayo Festival is the most well attended Latino music and food festival in all of the Sacramento Valley. This year is a major milestone for Fiesta En La Calle as they celebrate the 50th free music event, it features the music of some of the most well known Latin Artists.

Saturday features the band known as the Best Santana Tribute Band, Sacred Fire. Sharing the stage with them are Sugar High, Discos Resaca, and Kandia.

Sunday on Cinco de Mayo features the Best Tribute to Selena, Anything For Salinas. Sharing the stage with them are Bay Area’s War tribute Cisco Kid, Sol Peligro, Lele and LA’s best ladies trio Ixchel featuring two members of the Grammy-awarded Trio Ellas along with Dinorah.

As a bonus, a Classic Car Show by Socios Club and Los Vochos will line one area of the park (for all those car and bike enthusiasts to oooh and aaaah).

The festival promises to be a fun celebration of the Latino cultures, traditions, art, food, drinks, music, and dances. There are special performances by LeLe, Vivomusic, Kapulli Itzkuauhti Aztec Dancers, Fólklorico Nostalgia de Mexico, Mistura Brasiliera Samba Dance & Drum, and a fabulous all childrens choir “El Arte de Amar.”

The highly popular event will also celebrate the community’s diverse culture through popular South of the boarder traditional foods such as tacos, moles, grilled oysters, pupusas, burritos and yummy snacks such as fresh frutas, corn on the cob, razpados and much more. The festival will be sure to give everyone plenty of food options, and of course what Cinco de Mayo event is complete without its traditional drinks? Margaritas and Mexican beers will be available for those mature event goers.
