"Dark Core: Art of the Human Psyche" features a trio of Northern California artists who explore the human condition through painting, sculpture, and mixed media, including found objects.
Keith Cromie is a tattoo artist and painter whose work is mainly emotionally driven abstract art with the intent to have each piece invoke an emotional response from the viewer. Self-taught artist Richard Munoz explores the human experience by painting candid moments that reveal a person’s true self. Starting his paintings without preconceived notions of what the final image should be, he creates portraits that are both abstract and at times refined. Working with mixed mediums and found art, Kainan Becker’s pieces capture the raw, unfiltered human condition. Each piece is a multi-dimensional look into his subject matter, a mixture of paint and texture worked into both sculpture and canvas.
