Join Sacramento Roller Derby for Roller Derby 101 (formerly rec league) and see what roller derby is all about! This course is fun and safe for beginners and a great refresher for experienced derby skaters. This session lasts 8 weeks; new skaters can join the first three weeks of the session. Classes focus on teaching new skaters (Ages 18+) the basics of roller derby which include safety, stops, skating form, endurance, skate maintenance, lateral movement, and rules.

Note: Skaters are encouraged to bring any gear they have (helmet, knee pads, wrist guards, elbow pads, and skates), but there is plenty of loaner gear available as well. Don't forget to bring your own mouth guard and water!
