The groundbreaking of the Rio Linda Blvd. Bridge Replacement Project will take place in the vacant property near Bing’s Market in front of the future bridge location at the intersection of Maine and Rio Linda Blvd. Speakers include Councilmember Allen Warren, representatives from Robla Park Community Association, and representatives from City Public Works.
The project will provide improved traffic operations, enhanced safety, and improved access to the Sacramento Northern Bike Trail. The project will construct a new bridge to replace the existing bridge. Magpie Creek and Main Avenue will both be realigned to the south. The intersection will be widened to accommodate dedicated turn pockets and Main Avenue will intersect perpendicularly to Rio Linda Boulevard.
