NOTE: Out of respect for the health and safety of the UC Davis campus and community of arts lovers, the Mondavi Center is canceling all remaining public events for the 2019–20 season.
Violinist Cho-Liang Lin is known for virtuosity and a taste for adventurous programming, as well as championing composers of our time. For his Mondavi Center debut, Lin pairs with pianist Jon Kimura Parker in a program inspired by America, featuring Ravel’s Violin Sonata No. 2, Dvořák’s Violin Sonatina and Copland’s Sonata for Violin. Having performed as soloist with virtually every major orchestra in the world, he has also served on the faculty of his alma mater, The Juilliard School. Parker has worked extensively with Lin, and is equally musically adventurous, branching into jazz, tango and work with The Police’s drummer Stewart Copeland.
This event has been cancelled.
