Verge Center for the Arts invites the community to a dynamic and fun pre-event Sac Open Studios Guide Release Happy Hour at the Warehouse Artist Lofts. Designed to showcase emerging local artists and studios in Sacramento County and the City of West Sacramento, Sac Open Studios is the region’s oldest, largest and most prestigious artist studio tour scheduled to take place over two weekends this September.

At this pre-event, attendees can be among the first to receive the newly-released event guide, mix and mingle with the region’s talented art community, enjoy a happy hour atmosphere with complimentary snacks and drinks (available for purchase), be entertained by popular local DJ Lions in Paris -- who will be spinning hip-hop, jazz and global tunes -- and participate in hands-on activities that include relief printing with Courtney Smith, one-sheet folded books with Nikki Thompson of Deconstructed Artichoke Press, and Sumi-e brush painting with Michelle Cordova.

Center to the Happy Hour is the release of the 84-page Sac Open Studios guide that is a comprehensive resource of the 250+ participating artists for tour goers to use before, during, and after the event. The guide is a keepsake for art lovers that comes complete with information about each artist, maps, artist spotlights and more to help attendees plan for and maximize the tour experience.
