The Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra presents Summer Sing 2019

Presented by Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra and CapRadio at St. John's Lutheran Church

The Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra welcomes community members to come celebrate summer and classical music at Summer Sing 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, located in heart of Downtown Sacramento.

This annual summer event draws hundreds of music lovers of all ages and backgrounds each year to get a behind-the-scenes look at the musical process led by Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra conductor, Donald Kendrick. Organist Dr. Ryan Enright will accompany the chorus along with harpist Emily Mader. Featured soloists are Tatiana Grabciuc, soprano and CapRadio Morning Classical Host Kevin Doherty, baritone.

At the start of the event, the conductor will welcome guests and provide background for the musical fare to be featured: the Fauré Requiem. Attendees are invited to bring their own musical score or borrow one at the door. Immediately following this informal “instant concert” guests are invited to stay for a FREE reception that includes refreshments and the opportunity to mingle and enjoy some fun photo opportunities.

All are welcome to attend this annual summer event whose goal is to draw the community together for the sake of making spontaneous music! A free reception and meet and greet will follow immediately after the event.
