Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles

Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles

Presented by Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region at Tower Theatre Roseville

The Sacramento Jewish Film Festival, the Jewish Federation of the Sacramento Region, The Jewish Community Relations Council, Temple Or Rishon and the Roseville community are proud to present Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles.

When Fiddler on the Roof opened on Broadway in 1964, it explored themes of tradition, religion and anti-Semitism against a modern backdrop of radical social change that addressed gender roles, sexuality and race. Fiddler: A Miracle of Miracles presents rare archival footage and interviews with musical luminaries that explore the legacy of this long-running, award-winning musical. This documentary features interviews with Sheldon Harnick, Harold Prince, Jerry Bock, Chaim Topol, Harvey Fierstein, Fran Lebowitz, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Joel Grey, Calvin Trillin and Nathan Englander, as well as archival footage of original director-choreographer Jerome Robbins and star Zero Mostel.

The film is 93 minutes long.

Woodcreek High School student Isabella Vega will perform on stage prior to the film.
