Two Thrilling Radio Dramas

Two Thrilling Radio Dramas

Presented by California Stage Company at Wilkerson Theatre

A top-notch cast of local stage stars brings two interesting and spine-tingling crime stories presented back-to-back. Each of these stories involves a threatened inheritance, a big swindle, and two murders. It will take two heavyweight detectives to solve these mysteries.

Murder is the Medium: Hired to expose a fake medium, The Fat Man ends up searching for her killer. At two earlier seances, Harriet Reynard's late "husband" had asked her to bring him some of the cash he had left her in his will. When The Fat Man attends a third seance to find out who pocketed the money she had already brought, he finds himself having to solve two murders and prevent a third.

Stamped for Murder: Her father fell hard for one of Earth's oldest scams -- a fake treasure map. Gloria Kent's father was swindled out of $10,000 that he "borrowed" from her inheritance. Archie Goodwin takes her case to his boss, Nero Wolfe, who turns it down. When the old man is found dead, Wolfe sends Archie out to collect evidence -- but not in time to prevent a second murder.

Directed by Carol Cullens and Bob Suffel, two live-audience tapings of these rare scripts will be presented at the Wilkerson Theater.
