Known primarily as the lead singer and guitarist for bluesy, chart-topping '80s metal outfit Cinderella, Springfield, Pennsylvania-born singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Tom Keifer began playing at a young age. Discovered by Jon Bon Jovi in 1985, Cinderella went on to release four albums between 1986 and 1994, three of which went platinum, before breaking up in 1995 after Keifer suffered a voice injury. Keifer spent the ensuing years undergoing numerous operations to remove the nodules and fix the paralysis of the left chord. The band reunited in 1997 and toured fairly regularly into the 21st century. Keifer released his well-received solo debut, The Way Life Goes, in 2013. Rolling Stone praised KEIFER as “a gritty, bluesy (rocker) with enough genuine swagger to draw comparisons to Mick Jagger.
