Akinto: Day Making

Akinto: Day Making

Presented by Akinto Creative Gatherings at Pachamama Coffee Co-op

Second Saturday at the Fall Akinto: Day Making focuses on the poetry and art of accumulation with Kristin George Bagdanov and Pecos Pryor. In addition to hearing from the featured presenters about their work and methods, all those willing to participate will join together to produce and register collective consciousness using the artistic methods demonstrated by the presenters. The goal: a collaborative, creative experience.

Kristin will be reading from her new collection of poems, Diurne, winner of the Sunken Garden Poetry Prize from Tupelo Press. Diurne was written at the rate of one line per waking hour over the course of a month. Copies will be available for purchase.

Pecos will be discussing his method of making visual art through daily practice and methods of accumulation. Recent exhibitions "Miles and Lines" and "Months" explore what it means to constantly create.
