The 2nd annual Black Memorabilia, Fine Art, Craft, and Kinfolk Soul Foodie Festival expands this year to feature a food section!
This show is an educational event on 400 years of African-American history and culture, since enslaved Africans arrived in the United States in 1619. There will be educational exhibits, mural tours, art exhibitions, African fashion and hair shows, vendors, seminars, music, performing arts, poetry, guest speaks, film documentaries, and book signings. The celebration will fuse together the tradition of good times, good music, and good food that is rooted in African-American culture. It will offer and array of soul food offerings ranging from fried okra to collard greens and delicious foods from the Motherland. There will also be a Soul food cook-off and Soul food desert competition.
