Evening with the Stars

Evening with the Stars

Presented by San Juan Education Foundation at Center At Twenty Three Hundred

The San Juan Education Foundation will host an elegant evening celebrating excellence in education. This year, their focus is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), and they are honoring individuals who have excelled in STEAM careers. Unique live auction experiences, silent auction, gourmet dinner by Jackson Catering, live music, and performance will take place. SJUSD has also collaborated with the Aerospace Museum of California to bring space artifacts and experiences to the evening.

A program Q&A by Rob Stewart of KVIE will explore: space with Heidi Parris, NASA flight controller for the International Space Station; videogames with Scott Pease, developer of iconic games like Call of Duty, Tony Hawk, and Guitar Hero; and cancer biologist Mike Shepard, inventor of the drug used to treat breast cancer.

Funds raised support innovative learning experiences for the 46,000 K-12 students of SJUSD schools.
