The Actor's Theatre of Sacramento invites you to our production of Shakespeare's magical comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream. We often describe the feeling of falling in love as "magical". In Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare literally shows us that magic, when fairies try to help four lovers who have become lost in the woods. But, as the character Lysander tells us, "the course of true love never did run smooth:" People, even magical beings, make mistakes, and even magic isn't foolproof in matters of the heart. In this play, true love will -- as in a dream -- overcome all obstacles.
