Music for the Soul: A Benefit Concert for Joshua's House Hospice

Music for the Soul: A Benefit Concert for Joshua's House Hospice

Presented by Joshua's House Hospice at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament

Father Michael O’Reilly, Rector at the historic Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in downtown Sacramento, invites the community to attend a very special evening of heart felt music to benefit Joshua’s House Hospice. Joshua’s House will open in early Spring 2020 as the first hospice for the homeless on the west coast. The 20-bed facility will serve as home to terminally ill homeless residents. Each individual resident will be loved, respected, and provided with high quality hospice care in a homelike setting with meals, clothing, companionship plus art and music therapy.

The theme for the concert is taken from a quote by Joan Chittister, “When God put music in the human heart, God put prayer there.”

The evening will consist of a reception before and at intermission, with refreshments to include wine, coffee and pastries. Art pieces will be on display and for sale, as well as gift baskets. A variety of musical works will be highlighted throughout the evening, impacted by the incredible architecture and sound that only the cathedral can provide.

Solo performers:
-Father Michael O’ Reilly
-Rex Rallanka
-Rachel Songer
-Robert Camilo
