Dance Gavin Dance is an American rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 2005. The band released their first EP, Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean, in 2006 and signed to Rise Records thereafter. Their debut studio album, Downtown Battle Mountain was released in May 2007 followed by their second album, Dance Gavin Dance, in August 2008. They have had several other albums released throughout the years leading to their eighth studio album, Artificial Intelligence, which came out last summer. The band has scored two top 20 albums in the United States and have been one of the most popular and prominent music groups in post-hardcore since their formation.
