53% of Sacramento County’s children cannot read at grade-level. The literacy crisis in Sacramento threatens to drastically impact this generation of children, their future and the future of our city. Sacramento’s literacy crisis requires bold action and massive public awareness.
Help raise funds to help all of Sacramento’s children achieve grade-level reading at Walk For Literacy.
The race starts at Oak Park, travels through Elmhurst/Tahoe Park, and East Sacramento, to the Cesar Chavez Park, and ends at the Sacramento State Campus, where organizers will host a Family Literacy Festival. For the complete race route, click here.
