The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament invites everyone to the 12th annual Festival of Trees and Lights. This is the Cathedral's primary fundraising event to support its downtown social services program. The festival features decorated artificial trees, gift baskets, crafts, boutique items, and baked goods for sale. Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a weekend at Lake Tahoe, Kings tickets, cash prizes of $500, $250, and $100, and more. There will Mexican, Filipino, and Portuguese food for sale as well as entertainment.

Annually, the Cathedral distributes over 40,000 meals to the homeless, poor, and suffering. During the holidays, hot meals, food baskets, coats, and sleeping bags are distributed to the needy. The Cathedral also supports Joshua's House, a hospice facility for the terminally ill homeless.
