A Risograph is a brand of digital duplicators manufactured in Japan in the 80s. They have a 2nd life as high-volume, high-quality duplicators used for art and zine printing. Risograph printing is much like if screen printing and photocopiers were combined. A file is either scanned or sent digitally to the Risograph, which converts the image into a “master” that is used to transfer the ink into paper.
During this session you will be able to print edition of 25 two-color prints, or 15 three-four color prints of 8 1/2 x 11in in size. We will be printing with a Risograph ME9450. Available ink colors are Black, Medium Blue, Fluorescent Pink, and Yellow.
Ryan Peace on the Sun is a Sacramento born multimedia artist and musician whose 2-D work consists on vibrant and energetic scenes of reflection made with a combination of drawing, pointillism, painting, xerox copies, and risographs.
