Sacramento County’s “Mental Illness: It’s not always what you think” project and the Crocker Art Museum present Journey of Hope, a collaborative art exhibit pairing local artists and writers to share stories about mental health, hope and healing. Each piece began with a story written by a Sacramento County resident living with mental illness, which was then given to a local artist to be used as inspiration for an original two or three-dimensional art piece.
Come together for a compelling conversation about the positive contributions that art and creative collaboration have brought to the Sacramento region -- especially as it relates to social connectivity, health and well-being. Attendees can enjoy refreshments and light snacks at the reception immediately following the panel discussion.
