Marta Pereira da Costa is quickly becoming an ambassador for Portugal’s most iconic musical tradition. Fado, characterized by mournful tunes and lyrics, was recently acknowledged on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Marta has collaborated and performed with some of the brightest stars of contemporary Portuguese music and sought to give voice to her instrument throughout the world.
