Curious about the nitty-gritty that goes into hanging a painting? With visual presentations, lecture, discussion and real-life examples of museum exhibition designs, participants will
acquire a foundational knowledge of hanging systems, how to handle paintings and sculptures, light and much more. Analyze exhibition designs at the Museum and gain an understanding of how to create a dynamic experience for viewers.
Instructor Chris Daubert is an artist, writer and curator. He has exhibited his drawings, paintings and large multimedia installations locally and nationally for many years. Since 1989, he has completed over a dozen electronic and interactive architectural installations. He is Professor of Painting and New Media at Sacramento City College, where he also served as the Director of the Gregory Kondos Gallery.
