Pinot and Poetry with Inspiration from Zentangles (Cancelled)

Presented by Crocker Art Museum at Crocker Art Museum

NOTE: Beginning Tuesday, March 17, the Crocker Art Museum is temporarily closed to the public. All programs, tours, classes, and events through April 30 have been postponed or cancelled.

Found poetry is a wildly popular creative experience that is the literary equivalent of a collage. Participants will fashion new meaning from existing poetry or other sources by adding, deleting or changing text. Then, after learning a few basic Zentangle techniques, participants will add another layer of meaning and beauty by drawing on their found poem. Try this blend of distinct art forms in an exploratory and relaxing environment.

Instructor Lydia Meneses was introduced to Zentangle art in May of 2014. She was so taken by the mindful meditation and relaxation practice of Zentangle that she gifted herself with an adventure to Rhode Island, where she attended a Zentangle seminar. Lydia is now a “CZT”, Certified Zentangle Teacher. She enjoys sharing her appreciation of the Zentangle art
method with students, family and friends. She has taught several Zentangle classes at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani campus.
