World Collage Day brings together people of all walks of life to create a new perspective or way of thinking, just like a collage artwork! Learn how to conceptualize and form a collage, and meet others with the same interests.
Robert-Jean Ray:
Co-Instructor Robert-Jean Ray’s artistic development was influenced by the graphic innovations of early 20th-century modernism. Later, he discovered the collage of post-modern abstract expressionism. For the last decade, Ray’s goal has been to merge depictions of the human with mixed-media collage compositions inspired by urban street graphics. Ray will teach Micro-Miniature Collage.
Jill Allyn:
Co-Instrutor Jill Allyn Stafford is a collage artist based out of Sacramento, California. Jill’s experimentation with collage as an art form began as a way to craft new stories from images she found in magazines and books. Jill currently creates art using vintage family papers, letters and documents; found paper; photographs; stamps; vintage postcards; and damaged vintage paper parasols. Jill has shown her work in numerous galleries and venues around Sacramento including Sparrow Gallery, the Tim Collom Gallery, FE Gallery, Arthouse Gallery, and Little Relics.
