From birth to death, through joy, loss, and sorrow, Sacramento Master Singers's March concerts will celebrate life, its benchmark moments, and ups and downs with song. Patrons will be moved by pieces that range from the traditional spiritual "Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child" to Szymko’s "It Takes a Village."
There is a slew of special features for this concert as well: talented guest soloists mezzo Buffy Baggott and baritone Omari Tau performing Robert Cohen’s haunting Alzheimer’s Stories with an instrumental ensemble and the choir, the World Premiere of an SMS commissioned piece by Ron Kean, and an exciting new venue as well: B Street’s Sofia Theatre. You’ll enjoy audience pleasers such as "Fly to Paradise" by Eric Whitacre and Cole Porter’s "I Get a Kick Out of You" arranged by Falker. It’s a concert brimming with musical delights that you won’t want to miss.
