Unique Programs at Sacramento State is pleased to announce a special film screening of On The Basis of Sex.

On The Basis of Sex is film screening, based on the life of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This film is a 2018 production, which is two hours in length. It is considered a drama and legal category film. This film was directed by Mimi Leder with screenplay written by Daniel Stiepleman.

On The Basis of Sex is about Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whom is facing adverse life challenges with her position as an attorney as well as becoming a new mother. She is a women’s activist who faces a variety of adversities whilst fending for equal rights for women and forging a foot forward in the early days of feminism. Ruth eventually takes on a tax case with her husband, whom is also an attorney. She becomes aware that this tax case could be exactly what she needs to change the entire flow of her professional development and career endeavors altogether, and more importantly, it could change the way the supreme court discriminates based on gender.
