How to Paint a Nocturne (Cancelled)

How to Paint a Nocturne (Cancelled)

Presented by Crocker Art Museum at Crocker Art Museum

NOTE: Beginning Tuesday, March 17, the Crocker Art Museum is temporarily closed to the public. All programs, tours, classes, and events through April 30 have been postponed or cancelled.

Step into the dark and compose paintings of night scenes where light is diffused and the atmosphere is dreamy. Learn about the visual qualities and techniques of painting a nocturne so participants can create their own moody night piece.

Instructor Patris left the education profession in 2004 to pursue her art full-time. She has recently been juried into several national plein air painting competitions and her work is in many private and public collections. She served on the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and is a member of the California Art Club, the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, and Landscape Artists International.
