This 90-120 minute workshop is geared towards the beginning photographer. Whether you own a point-and-shoot or a more advanced camera, this workshop will give you a better grasp of your chosen tool, as well as the skills to make better images. The workshop will focus on core photographic procedures, along with some slightly advanced techniques and settings. It will also include basic concepts in composition and, time permitting, may include demonstrations of digital image editing techniques. Bring your camera and owner’s manual with you. You can expect to leave the workshop with a working knowledge of your camera and the skills to capture better images.
Goals:
-Review camera parts and types
-Understand menu items and shooting modes (Auto vs. Scene vs. Priority)
-Learn the Exposure Triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)
-Explore “rules" of composition and seeing
