The second annual Sacramento FemmeFest is a celebration and showcase of women in comedy. The lineup includes nationally recognized sketch groups, improvisers, and stand-up comics, as well as extraordinary local talent.

HypotheChicks
Come see the HypotheChicks create improv comedy magic using the scientific method to answer your questions about … anything! This team of six smart ladies will generate hypotheses to answer your question, explore the hypotheses through scenes, and draw a conclusion by the show’s end. What do you wish science could answer?

Granny Cart Gangstas
Granny Cart Gangstas is an all womxn, Asian-American sketch comedy troupe birthed from the black box stage of Bindlestiff Studio in San Francisco. Founded by Aureen Almario and Ava Tong in 2011, the GCG crew have been performing live sketch comedy since 2013 at their own shows as well as Filipino AF, Femprovisor Fest, and SF Sketchfest. They create rebellious, irreverent and rowdy comedy, poking holes at pop and traditional culture, systems of oppression, white privilege, toxic masculinity, weed, and the mundane absurdity of everyday life. This show features Lynie Abadilla, Aureen Almario, Kathlyn Cabrera, Felicia Chanco, Nic Feliciano, Lauren Garcia, Julie Kuwabara, and Ava Tong.

Katy Karns
Katy Karns is Jill of many trades but a master of none -- "artist", yoga teacher, and sometimes bringer of laughter. Mixes light views with dark stories and woes about not being able to adult because therapy is expensive.

Danielle Arce
Danielle Arce is a comedian residing in California, originally from Phoenix, Arizona. Danielle began performing stand-up comedy in 2011 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has since performed and headlined all over the world – in the US, Japan, and Australia. She has also performed for the US Navy and Marines in Yokosuka and Camp Fuji. She has headlined the main room of The Comedy Palace in San Diego multiple times, and works regularly on the road. She has been featured and interviewed for VoyageLA Magazine. She has performed on the 2018 Bird City Comedy Festival in Phoenix, and then 2018 She-Devil Comedy Festival in New York City. Her witty and sincere comedy is guaranteed to please. She’s hard-hitting, real, vulnerable, and relatable, and always an audience favorite.
