Brooches and Bowties is a unique, delightful, wearable, one-day-only, art show and exhibit at the Gerry O. Simpson Art Gallery Studio on Del Paso Blvd. The public is invited to rekindle their love of bow ties, GOS style, and witness the unveiling of the "Caledonia Collection," a one-of-a-kind Afro-futuristic jewelry line unveiled for the first time. Light refreshments will be provided.

Multi-talented artist and gallery owner, Gerry O. Simpson, aka GOS, has created a stunningly attractive, eclectic line of Bowties with colorful designs and exotic textures from upholstery fabric that will add excitement and verve to any ensemble.

Staajabu, matriarch of Straight Out Scribes, a Sacramento mother/daughter poetry duo, recently began making jewelry. Inspired by characters from her 2017 Afro-futuristic Sci-fi anthology, "Caledonia's Daughters." She  is thrilled to be able to unveil "The Caledonia Collection," brooches (brooch: a large decorative pin worn as an ornament on clothing) for the first time at the GOS Gallery. No two pieces are alike and each is guaranteed to stimulate conversation and titillate the imagination.
