Master Gardener: Summer Vegetable Garden (Cancelled)

Presented by Sacramento Public Library at Orangevale Library

NOTE: This event has been cancelled.

A presentation on The Summer Vegetable Garden by Sacramento Master Gardener Andi MacDonald. Whether participants have a sunny balcony or a spacious lot, they can enjoy produce grown mere steps from their own back door. The Summer Vegetable Garden covers the basics of starting and maintaining a home vegetable garden. What, when, and where to plant, how to irrigate and fertilize, as well as strategies on managing weeds and pests.

Andi MacDonald has been a Master Gardener for over 20 years, an active volunteer in Fresno, Salt Lake County, Utah, and now in Sacramento. Currently Andi is volunteering in the Water Efficient Landscape Garden at the Sacramento County Master Gardener Fair Oaks Horticulture Center, where they research and grow plants that meet the needs of urban gardeners who want an attractive, low water landscape.
