Paint a Poppy I (Cancelled)

Paint a Poppy I (Cancelled)

Presented by Crocker Art Museum at Crocker Art Museum

NOTE: The Crocker Art Museum is temporarily closed to the public, and all programs, tours, classes, and events through April 30 have been postponed or cancelled.

Celebrate California Poppy Day (April 6) among the many paintings in the Crocker that depict the state flower. Take a close-up look at the poppy and analyze the shapes that make up its form. Afterward, make several drawings from observation with actual poppies as the model, then choose one to develop into a painting. Be sure to enjoy the visiting exhibition Granville Redmond: The Eloquent Palette for more inspiration.

No experience is required unless noted. The Museum provides student-quality supplies included in the fee unless indicated otherwise.

Instructor Yoli is well known as a highly creative mixed media artist in the Sacramento area, where she now resides.
