Sacramento Creative Economy Virtual Meeting

Sacramento Creative Economy Virtual Meeting

Presented by The Atrium at Online/Virtual Space

Sacramento California Creative Economy Meeting series to heal, learn, and share opportunities for and from within our creative community.

The Atrium stands in solidarity and in action with the communities and people of color affected by 400 years of racism, colonization, and the genocide of indigenous peoples. America was not only built upon stolen black labor, black culture, and black ideas but continues to function on anti-blackness and the oppression of black people. BIPOC have fought to dismantle white supremacy and racism for centuries. It‘s time for all of us, to join this work.

As a nonprofit that promotes equality in every possible way it can, the Atrium is providing resources and a Creative Economy meeting to help make this movement and our Creative Economy as productive as possible. We will discuss new projects proposed to help the creative community and what funding the city will make available to support local creatives during this time.

Register for the event so it gets onto your calendar and you get the reminder when the event begins.

This is an honest, supportive and important conversation around systemic racism and its impact on black individuals and communities, and a discussion on what we can do to dismantle the systems, and bring in a new paradigm.

Grant funds and how they are processed create barriers for many people of color and this needs to be addressed, along with actionable solutions and personal stories to humanize the system.
