Enhance your garden experience. Find what you need and what you want at your fingertips: the UCCE Master Gardeners of Sacramento County are hosting a special on-line event for Harvest Day 2020 with over thirty “How to” video mini-presentations that will be available for viewing mid-July.
Solve the mystery behind that less than perfect tomato or find ways to attract helpful butterflies and bees. Plus, learn how easy it is to sharpen tools. Join in anytime, anywhere for this year’s celebration of gardening and learning at Virtual Harvest Day 2020.
Captured on video, Harvest Days featured speakers will also be available for viewing mid-July. UCCE Environmental Horticulture Advisor for San Joaquin County, Karrie Reid, will offer words of wisdom on how nurturing wildlife builds resilient gardens. Ed Laivo, fruit tree and edible landscaping specialist, will focus on successful strategies for fruit trees in urban and small space gardens.
The sage advice continues on Saturday, August 1, for live Q&A from 9am to Noon when Reid and Laivo are joined by Master Gardeners to field your questions.
The UCCE Master Gardeners of Sacramento County 2021 Gardening Guide and Calendar will be available for purchase by mail order beginning August 1 at sacmg.ucanr.edu for $11.75 including sales tax and postage.
