Using creativity and the power of observation, students will make avatars of themselves (and friends), construct superheroes ready to change the world, and make their own t-shirt or fabric designs. The group will learn how to draw all the parts of the face, about proportions, how to draw bodies in action as well as how to get the most out of basic tools like pencils and markers. Students will learn about how to create drawings with more personal meaning, about making drawing easier through shape recognition, and about how to lay out a dynamic picture.
Verge will be using a combination of two platforms, Zoom and Edmodo. The instructor will send you all information about setting up accounts on those two as soon as possible. Zoom will facilitate online face-to-face interactions through an iPad or computer and will serve as a tool for instruction, demonstrations, and other engagement. Edmodo will be a platform to share tutorials, videos, alternative activities etc. so parents and kids can access them anytime.
Instructor will make a materials pack at Verge that can be picked up by guardians. In-Store Shopping & Curbside Pickup are available at Blick Art Supplies at their Howe Ave location if you would like extra supplies.
